MAGE RTA’s Structure Analysis and Test Review

Mage RTA is extremely popular recently. As RTAs are becoming a trend in the e-cig market, Mage RTA keeps up with the trend and has captured many customers’ heart. Various reviews about it is emerging on the internet, therefore this time I will not repeat its advantages or disadvantages, which are familiar to you, and instead I will make an analysis on Mage RTA’s structure and flavor.

First, Mage RTA’s drip tip and top cap are very similar to those of HOBO 3.1. The arc design is beneficial to the gathering of vapor, and the straight up and down drip tip, which has big diameter, could help to transport the gathered vapor directly to your mouth.

Mage RTA’s atomization tank is large, which, coordinating with the direct airflow, makes the process of atomization more complete and the flavor more layered. The snap joint between the atomization and the base will close the inner atomization space after the tank is screwed tightly, therefore as long as the quantity of cotton is well controlled, the problem of leaking will not happen.

Speaking of the use level of cotton, I think it is necessary to well control the cotton's quantity for Mage RTA. The position of the e-juice flow hole is appropriate, which could help to run out of the e-juice, but if the cotton is not enough, the e-juice will leak out through the airflow adjusting ring to the box’s top. It is suggested to pull outward or lift upward the cotton from the e-juice flow hole to let the cotton fill the hole, thus avoiding leaking.

The dual-electrode and four-hole electrode structure is very convenient for building coils, and the four cotton fixing grooves are helpful to control the cotton’s length and quantity. The airflow holes are relatively high, therefore pay attention to keep the coils’ feet away from them while building. The coils' top should not be higher than that of the electrodes, and the coils’ width should also be controlled narrower than that of the electrodes.

Test data set one:

24G A1 coils

6 close wraps

Diameter: 2.5

Resistance: 0.27ohm

Power: 60W


Under this data set, Mage RTA’s flavor is relatively rich, with the vaporization speed being fast and the vapor temperature moderate. After the installation of two close winding coils, the voltage is below 4V, being very suitable for small DL, and the flavor is similar to that of HOBO 3.1 when the latter applies single coil. However, the layering of the e-juice is a little bit worse, and the throat hit is heavier.

Test data set two:

24G A1 coils

6 loose wraps

Diameter: 2.5

Resistance: 0.29ohm

Power: 60W


Under this data set, Mage RTA’s vapor volume doesn’t reduce at all, and the flavor is a little bit milder than that when the coils are closely winded, but the layering is enhanced a lot. Moreover, this set of data is very friendly to mixed flavors.

In fact, each atomizer has its own suitable data and playing method, so does Mage RTA. Many vapers may complain that this atomizer’s flavor is a little bit rough, here I advise you to try adjusting the airflow and resistance. According to the test of regular coils, Mega RTA is very suitable for using 24G coils, but the most suitable data set is up to your preference.
