Twelve RDAs Review

RDAs are an indispensable category on the market of e-cigs, many e-cig vapers have more than one RDAs at hand. In this passage I will present a review of twelve RDAs (listed in no particular order) that I possess for your reference.

1. HOBO 3.1

HOBO3.1 adopts the dual-electrode and dual-hole design, and the holes for coils are large. The adjustable building space and rotatable positive electrode allow the use of single trick coil.

The two strip-shaped side airflow holes are in the middle, being beneficial for enhancing flavor. The inclination on the top cap could help to gather vapor and promote condensate fluid backflow. But the 510 drip tip is too tight to disassemble, and the snap joint atomization tank make it inconvenient to disassemble the atomizer from the box.

2. Sector One AX1

This atomizer is popular because of its special structure, novel building method and creative airflow structure.

It adopts the four-electrode and four-hole electrode design. There are eight adjustable airflow holes on the bottom. The holes for coils are compatible with common coils. 

The bottom airflow structure makes AX1 have excellent flavor. But the lack of inclination on the top cap reduces its condensate back flow ability. The short size of the atomization tank is a deficient of the atomizer.

3. NIPPLE RDA

It features mini and special appearance, limited production, good flavor and expensive price. 

There is only one positive electrode on the base, and the role of negative electrode is undertaken by the two screws. For that reason the atomizer is only compatible with coils whose diameter is less than 0.5mm. The atomizer’s side airflow holes are in the middle, and the round holes are be adjusted through the external airflow adjusting screws.

Boasting the mini body, appealing experience and good flavor, NIPPLE RDA’s e-juice groove is too shallow.

4. Morph Tank

It is an atomizer that is even smaller that NIPPLE.

The atomizer adopts the traditional three-electrode and three-hole structure, and the positive electrode is made of rose copper. The size of the holes on the electrode could contain coils whose diameter is not more than 0.5mm. There are three adjustable round airflow holes on either side of the atomizer.

The mini atomizer could produce good flavor, and its e-juice groove is deep enough. The lack of inclination on the top cap reduces its ability of condensate fluid backflow.

5. DARANG

The atomizer adopts the traditional three-electrode and three-hole structure, and the holes on the electrode could contain coils whose diameter is not more than 0.4mm. It airflow method is similar to that of AX1, only that the holes are in the middle instead of the bottom. The airflow holes could be adjusted or locked.

DARANG’s appearance is special and not in popular demand, but it performs well in vapor and flavor. The e-juice groove is deep enough. Due to its special airflow structure, we have to disassemble the atomizer’s cap and airflow ring before adjusting the coils’ height.

6. MAD HATTER 1

This is an atomizer whose top cap is connected to the atomization tank through a hinge. Just open the top cap toward one side and you can begin refilling. 

The atomizer adopts the traditional three-electrode and four-hole deign, and the holes on the electrodes are compatible with coils thinner than 0.5mm. There is a strip airflow hole on both sides and the airflow is adjustable.

MAD HTTHER 1’s filling method is convenient, and the heat dissipation drip tip could help to lower the temperature. The high atomization tank combining with the bottom airflow structure makes the flavor be better and have explicit layering.

7. Noname Nopity BF99

It’s an atomizer that has excellent flavor performance, even better than that of AX1.

The atomizer adopts bilateral four-electrode and four-hole design. The holes for coils is big enough for most coils. There are adjustable three airflow holes on both sides of the atomizer’s bottom, and each hole is small and could meet the requirements for DL. By changing the atomization tank the atomizer could turn into a big vapor atomizer. 

The bottom airflow and the sufficient atomization space make BF99 an excellent flavor-oriented product. The only deficiency is the design of the embedded silica ring will add the difficulty to cleaning.

8. Kennedy V2

This is a classical show quality big vapor atomizer. It adopts the traditional three-electrode and three-hole structure where the positive electrode is made of red copper. The holes for coils are big enough for most coils. There are two airflow holes on both sides of the atomizer’s bottom, and each hole’s size is big and could not be adjusted. There are two assistant holes on the top of the atomization tank, whose function is lowering the vapor’s temperature and increasing the airflow volume at the same time.

The atomizer combines big vapor and good flavor, and the flavor could be enhanced by changing the atomization tank. The only shortcoming is the possibility of leaking from the bottom airflow holes, however this could be solved by adding heat dissipation fins.

9. BOSS HOG

Using the traditional three-electrode and four-hole structure, the atomizer is easy to build. The main airflow method of the atomizer is the middle side airflow, with four round airflow holes spread on each direction. The airflow is adjustable. There are also four tiny holes on the atomizer’s top that could cool down the vapor’s temperature. 

The airflow design could ensure balanced and sufficient airflow, and the top assistant holes could slightly increase the airflow volume and effectively lower the temperature at the same time, ensuring the vapor’s current. The e-juice groove’s depth is limited. The top cap is replaceable, making the atomizer more playable.

10. Mutation V4

The atomizer adopts the traditional three-electrode and four-hole design, and the holes are big enough for 0.55mm or less coils. The two airflow methods of it could both be adjusted. There are three airflow holes on the bottom, and nine small holes on both sides of the middle. By using accessories the atomizer’s height could rise, thus increasing the flavor.

When just applying one airflow method, especially the bottom airflow, the atomizer performs excellent in flavor; while using both methods, the atomizer performs well in vapor volume and the temperature is well controlled. The e-juice reserve is moderate due to the limited width of the groove.

11. PLMVL 3.0

The atomizer adopts the traditional three-electrode and four-hole design, and the holes are big enough for most coils. It combines the bottom airflow and side airflow. The bottom airflow has four hole on one side, and the side airflow structure has a unilateral strip shape hole. The bottom airflow is not adjustable. 

While only using the bottom airflow, the atomizer’s flavor is rich; while using both airflow modes at the same time, the vapor volume and flavor could be well balanced. The e-juice storage is moderate. There are two shortcomings, one is the drip tip, which is fixed to the airflow adjusting ring through the silica ring, being too simple to be reliable; the other is the bottom airflow holes, which are too small and could not adjust the airflow volume.

12. CLT4

The atomizer adopts the horizontal dual-electrode and four-hole design, which could be replaced with the U shape dual-electrode and four-hole structure, and the holes are big enough for most coils. It combines the bottom airflow and side airflow, both being adjustable. The drip tip’s material is PEI.

The atomizer’s 24mm atomization tank has enough space for the vapor to be fully fused. The bottom airflow could ensure good flavor despite of the big drip tip. The replaceable electrode structure make the atomizer more playable. The only weakness it the possibility of leaking.
